Li Jiheng seeks to big data industry for growth
Li Jiheng, secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC, met with Sun Pishu, chairman of Inspur Corporation, to discuss the development of big data and the information industries, in Hohhot on Oct 30.
Li conveyed warm greetings to Sun on the visit and expressed his congratulations on the achievements that Inspur has recently made. Li said that he appreciated Inspur’s contribution to the informationization of Inner Mongolia.
In recent years, Inner Mongolia has drawn in many entrepreneurs and investors to start businesses, mainly thanks to its vast geographical area, plentiful natural resources, and opportunities for cooperation. As a national-level big data pilot area, Inner Mongolia has targeted this new emerging industry as a major part of its future economy.

As a leading information company, Inspur provides some of the largest cloud computing services in the world, which means opportunities for huge commercial collaborations within the region. The government has welcomed Inspur to invest via providing supportive policies and services, Li said.
Sun expressed his appreciation for the support from the Inner Mongolia government and introduced the company’s future projects in the region. He said that the company will further boost the informationization in Inner Mongolia, particularly in cloud computing and the application of big data. He also expressed his hopes that all the company’s staff would focus their efforts on the construction of information industry in the local area.
Another two officials from the Inner Mongolia government, Zhang Yuanzhong and Fu Taizeng, also attended the meeting.
