Cloud-based computing makerspace opens in Hohhot
The first cloud computing makerspace opened in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Nov 7.
The makerspace covers an area of 2.2 hectares, with 393,000 square kilometers for construction. It will serve as a platform to boost exchanges between businesses and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
Businesses based in the makerspace will enjoy preferential policies and project support, including funds.
A total of 40 nationally-famous businesses in the big data industry have settled in the makerspace, including Guoyun Data, China’s leading big data operating system developer, and IEDS, a software developer based in Inner Mongolia.
