Among its 23 registered enterprises, the Inner Mongolia Wuchuan Economic Development Zone (autonomous region-level industrial park) has cultivated five leading, large-scale and powerful ones which have an investment of more than 100 million yuan each, including the Jidong Cement Co, Yongye Fumin Biotechnology Co and Judexin Nonferrous Metals Co. They have helped form the zone's pillar industries of cement and building materials, metallurgy, and organic fertilizers.

In 2013, the development zone reached 3.614 billion yuan in industrial output and 1.214 billion yuan of industrial added value and contributed 177 million yuan in taxes, becoming an important Wuchuan platform for attracting investment and driving the local industrial economy.
