China Unicom Northwest (Hohhot) Base
Construction of the China Unicom Northwest (Hohhot) Base, a large telecommunication center, began on July 1, 2012. It is striving to attract high-end enterprises in the fields of Internet, the Internet of Things and cloud computing from home and abroad to become a capable high-tech industry development platform, and to be the core information industry base in the west.

The project includes an IDC center, an EDC center, a cloud computing center, a call center and facilities for high-tech R&D and production. With a total investment of about 12.3 billion yuan, the project has a building area of 598,000 square meters, including 24,000 sq m underground.
The project is expected to be completed in ten years in three phases. Its service capacity will be 33,000 racks and 560,000 servers.
