Agriculture and animal husbandry industrialization is one of three projects to bring Hohhot farmers a better life by focusing on the dairy industry and encouraging cooperation among leading enterprises, industrial bases and farmers, with industrialization, with government support and the participation of leading companies, farmers, and intermediaries. By the end of 2006, it had 142 companies that had made more than 1 million yuan each in the field and with assets of 20 billion yuan, for a yearly growth of 19.5 percent. The industrialization has involved 230,000 farmers and 34,000 company workers.
