Hefei DVL Electron Co has been taking concrete steps to develop minimally invasive medical facilities for 12 years.

The company's integrated endoscopy and HDMS image and video management systems have relieved medical staff of many work burdens, pushing domestic medical and health undertakings ahead.

The first of its kind in the world, the integrated endoscopy system combines a high-definition endoscopy camera, cold light source, carbon dioxide insufflator, and recording tablet, enabling physicians to track every tiny step in an operation.

Aside from the system, other minimally invasive products have also offered practical and efficient solutions to complicated diagnoses, winning appreciation from domestic hospitals.

According to Liu Jin, vice-general manager at DVL, the company has joined hands with academician Yang Shanlin at the Hefei University of Technology and conducted a wide array of research on minimally invasive surgical equipment and medical artificial intelligence.

DVL's businesses have also reached out to counter-terrorism and rescue exploration areas, with its mobile minimally invasive facilities having shown remarkable capabilities in various international emergency rescues.

"Considering the limited operational space in large navy vessels, the space-efficient integrated endoscopy system of DVL is undoubtedly the best choice," Liu said.

The company's success lies in its firm and steady progress over the years. It has filled a gap in the domestic market, and also broken the monopoly of foreign companies.

"Deeply rooted in the minimally invasive market, we are devoted to offering integrated solutions to our customers, rather than selling single sets of equipment," said Ding Shuai, a scientific research at DVL.

The company has registered many patents and obtained international production and export licenses. DVL designs have also reached out to over 50 countries across the globe, yielding an output value of 90 million yuan ($13 million) in 2017.
