US Consulate General in Guangzhou Delegation visits HAITC
A delegation from the US Consulate General in Guangzhou, led by Consul-General Lisa Heller, visited the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College of Hainan University (HAITC) on Nov 1.
The delegation engaged in a cordial and informative exchange with key personnel from the college.
Wang Lin, dean of the HAITC, extended a warm welcome to Consul-General Lisa Heller and her delegation and provided an overview of the college's academic offerings, as well as the current status and future prospects of collaboration between Hainan University and Arizona State University (ASU).
Representing ASU, Kelly Bricker, director of ASU's Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions-China Collaborative Program and vice-dean of the HAITC, welcomed the delegation and outlined the faculty expertise that ASU has brought to the college.
Jong Hyeong Kim and Walter Richard Huber, who head academic disciplines at the college, shared their work experience and progress they have made at the college.
The consul-general expressed her appreciation for the cooperative efforts and achievements of the HAITC. She also discussed potential support that the US Consulate General in Guangzhou can offer within its purview.
Lou Chenxi, director of the college's International Affairs and Human Resources Department, was also in attendance.
