Mainali Utkrista Kanta has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has worked in the fields of food and beverage, reservations, as well as groups and revenue management. He was the director of revenue management at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins before he started his teaching career.

Before joining HAITC, Kanta lectured on hotel revenue management and hotel finance at Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School at Torrens University in Australia. 

Kanta has BSc degrees in physics and mathematics, a BBA in hospitality management and a master’s degree in professional accounting. He is also a qualified chartered accountant with a focus on management accounting. He has a solid foundation in revenue management, management accounting, business analytics excel, VBA, Power BI, and  SQL.
