HAITC Young Volunteers Association
The Young Volunteers Association of the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College at Hainan University (HAITC) actively promotes HAITC students’ participation in voluntary activities and is dedicated to cultivating their service awareness and practical ability, providing a platform for them to contribute to society.
Since its establishment, the association has been coordinating and carrying out various kinds of voluntary activities and designing characteristic projects based on HAITCers’ discipline and language advantages, such as the English salon and the Dream Preparation Program at the Qiongshan New Era Civilization Practice Center. Besides pushing forward with daily voluntary activities, including the Civilized Action, the Learn from the Model Soldier Lei Feng Project and the Pandemic Prevention and Control in the Cafeteria Initiative, the association optimizes its voluntary programs in line with the development of Hainan University and the Hainan Free Trade Port. It has held college-level contests on voluntary service planning, from which the best plans were selected to promote the progressive construction of the Voluntary Service Incubation Base.
In 2021, HAITC accomplished 49,684.5 hours of voluntary services, created 15 volunteer projects and served over 500 people. The college implements the requirements for university students’ development in the new era and spares no effort to contribute to the advancement of the cause of young people's volunteering service.
The association consists of a general office, a publicity department, an operation department, and a volunteer management department.
