Teachers and students of the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College, Hainan University (HAITC) gathered to watch the ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) when it started at 8 am on July 1. 

He Yingmin, Party secretary of HAITC, and Wang Lin, dean of the college, watched the ceremony at Siyuan Auditorium. Deputy Party Secretary Wang Yuanlu and Vice-Dean Li Meizhen, and representatives of Party members, teachers and students, watched the ceremony at the Tin Ka Ping building.

Teachers said that on the occasion of the CPC centenary, as honored Party members, they are very excited about the great achievements the Party has made in uniting and leading Chinese people of all ethnic groups across the country. 

They said that they will train more outstanding talents to build the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), strive to build a country with scientific, technological and educational power, and to achieve the second centennial goal with a more scientific, responsible, diligent, and pragmatic attitude.

Robert Leonard Van Bakel, a HAITC teacher from New Zealand was deeply impressed by the achievements of the CPC in leading the Chinese people out of the old era, as well as in leading the most populous country on earth to fight against poverty and the COVID-19 pandemic after watching the ceremony. 

He believed that the emergence of the CPC is the key to China's transition. At this important moment of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, China will enter a new era and become an indispensable force in the world. 

Representatives of student Party members said that they will earnestly study the Party's century-old history, continue to be strict with themselves in their future study and life, improve themselves with solid learning, benefit society through hard work, return the sacrifices of countless revolutionary martyrs, and construct a China with a strong youth.
