Research directions: international boundaries, heritage tourism and protection, religious tourism, heritage policy and world tourism.

Dr. Timothy graduated from the University of Waterloo with a PhD in geography. He teaches community resources and development at the College of Public Service and Community Solutions of Arizona State University.

He published the paper "Tourism Planning for Developing Tourist Destinations: Taking Yogyakarta, Indonesia as an Example." Since 1998, he has served as a member of the Economics Committee of the International Geographical Union and has conducted in-depth research in tourism, geography and other fields.
