On May 10, a meeting between Danzhou city and Hainan University was conducted to discuss the two sides' collaboration.

The cooperation meeting gets underway on May 10.

Danzhou's Party Secretary, Yang Xiaohe explained that the city's collaboration with HNU has yielded positive outcomes in a variety of disciplines, including teaching and scientific research, talent training, and rural vitalization.

Danzhou will continue to support the construction of the HNU Danzhou Campus, Yang said, adding that he expects HNU would continue to increase educational quality, focus on the transformation of scientific research achievements, and deepen local government-school cooperation. 

Yang requested that HNU promote the Danzhou campus' construction planning and design, as well as assist Danzhou in developing an educational center city in western Hainan. 

The school will play an active role in local decision-making consultations, talent training, scientific research innovation, and social services, according to Fu Xuanguo, HNU's Party chief, and will contribute to accelerating the integrated development of Danzhou and Yangpu Economic Development Zone, as well as the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics.
