Professor Cao Kaiying of Hainan University's School of Tourism published an academic paper titled "Optimal Trade-in Return Policies: Is it Wise to be Generous?" in the prestigious international journal Production and Operations Management (POM), with HNU as the lead unit.

For the first time, the study investigated the return of trade-in service, connects the two research disciplines of trade-in and return, and offers direction for the development of trade-in return strategies for actual durable goods companies.

POM is the flagship publication of the Production and Operations Management Society and is widely regarded as a leading management magazine on a global scale.

Cao, who has a doctoral degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of HNU and is dedicated to the field of operational decision-making and service scientific research.

At present, he has 20 academic papers that have been published in academic journals and is currently an anonymous reviewer of EJOR, OMEGA, and other authoritative journals, and an expert reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
