The CSC Scholars Meeting, hosted by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and jointly sponsored by the Hainan Provincial Department of Education and Hainan University (HNU), was held in Haikou on Dec 17.

The CSC Scholars Meeting was initiated by CSC in 2020. It aims to further consolidate the leading role of government-sponsored overseas education, improve social benefits, and build an exchange platform for government-sponsored overseas students.

During the meeting, young scholars from Oxford University, Peking University, Nanjing University, University of Science and Technology of China, HNU and other universities made keynote speeches. Nearly 70 CSC young scholars who have studied in top universities around the world and sponsored by the government participated in the meeting.

After the meeting, the CSC delegation visited HNU's campus and provided guidance on how to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship and the innovative talent international cooperation training program. During the period, HNU and CSC officials conducted in-depth exchanges on how to expand channels for studying in China and abroad.
