HNU, New Zealand university to jointly build learning center

On Nov 9, Hainan University (HNU) and the University of Waikato in New Zealand held an online signing ceremony for the joint construction of the Waikato Learning Center in HNU.

Alister Jones, senior executive vice president of the University of Waikato, and Ye Guangliang, vice president of HNU, attended the ceremony.

According to the cooperation agreement, HNU will provide excellent conditions and high-quality services for students at the Waikato Learning Center, and offer a satisfying learning experience for students. The two sides will carry out exchanges such as mutual teacher visits, students exchange, joint scientific research, and joint postgraduate training.

Founded in 1964, the University of Waikato is one of eight public universities funded by the New Zealand government. It has more than 12,500 students and more than 2,200 international students from more than 70 countries around the world. The university enjoys a strong reputation worldwide, and is known for its law, management, computer science, natural sciences and education programs.
