HNU to hold intl young scholars forum in Dec

Hainan University (HNU) will host the 3rd International Young Scholars Forum and the CSC Scholars Meeting from Dec 16 to 19, in order to bring together outstanding scholars with different academic backgrounds from all over the world to conduct seminars and cooperation in cutting-edge research subjects.

The forum will set up seven sub-forum, namely the Free Trade Port Development and System Innovation, the Ecological Civilization, the Cultural Tourism, the Efficient Tropical Agriculture, the Marine Technology, the One Health, and the Information Technology.

Founded in 1958, HNU is a national "211 Project" key construction university, a national "world-class discipline" construction university, and a joint construction university by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hainan Province. The university has 36 colleges and departments, more than 2,400 full-time teachers, 30 national high-level skilled workers such as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and more than 41,000 full-time students. In addition, it offers 14 first-level discipline doctoral programs, six post-doctoral mobile stations, 55 first-level discipline master's points and 77 undergraduate majors.
