Top journal publishes Ye Weixiang's heavy metal ion detection research

Updated: 2021-10-11

Ye Weixiang, a professor at Hainan University's College of Science, had his research on the multiplexed detection of heavy metal ions published in the internationally recognized journal Biosensors and Bioelectronics.

In his research paper titled Multiplexed Detection of Heavy Metal Ions by Single Plasmonic Nanosensors, Ye's team proposes that a multiplexed nanosensor with position-encoded aptamer functionalized gold nanorods can be used for heavy metal ions detection.

The team's research results show the potential for a single particle plasmonic nanosensor to provide a simple, fast, and direct method for the multiplexed detection of heavy metal ions in water with high efficiency and precision, which is highly important in areas like water quality monitoring.

Ye is the first author and joint corresponding author of the paper along with Wang Cheng, professor at Tianjin Normal University.
