The gallery wall shows the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In May 2021, the School of Art and Design of Hainan University (HNU) received the task of drawing a gallery wall to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The college formed a creative team composed of its deputy dean Su Xiya, art teachers Tuolin and Wei Pengju, and 19 students.

After over two months of hard work, the gallery wall was completed as scheduled on July 1, showing some important historical moments from the Party's history such as the Red Boat in Nanhu, the Tiananmen Gate, the Red Detachment of Women, Hong Kong's return and the Beijing Olympics. The 160-meter-long wall has become a beautiful landscape on campus, attracting many people to admire and take a photos.

Xu Wang, deputy Party secretary of the School of Art and Design said that drawing the story of the Party's history has further inspired young students to inherit and carry forward the Party's fine traditions and spirit of struggle.

The students who participated in the painting expressed that they will shoulder the responsibility when needed, and draw a better future together.
