Chinese Government Scholarship - Bilateral Program

The Bilateral Program offers scholarships in accordance with the educational cooperation and exchange agreements between China and the governments, institutions, schools, and international organizations in other countries.
I. Supporting categories:
Undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate students, as well as general and senior scholars.
Applicants for a bachelor's degree program must have a high school degree and be below 25 years of age.
Applicants for a master's degree program must have a bachelor's degree and be below 35 years of age.
Applicants for a doctorate degree program must have a master's degree and be below 40 years of age.
General scholars must have a high school degree and be below 45 years of age.
Senior scholars must have a master's degree or a title of associate professor or higher, as well as be under 50 years of age.

IV: When to Apply:
Between early January and early April. Consult the dispatching authorities for the specific application period.
V. Application procedure
Step 1 - Apply to the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country.
Step 2 - After being recommended by the dispatching authorities as an eligible candidate and receiving an Award Letter for Chinese Government Scholarship Candidate, apply to Hainan University for the Pre-admission Letter.
Step 3 - Complete the online application at http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or http://www.campuschina.org and print a copy. Consult the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country for application instructions and agency number.
Step 4 - Submit all your application documents to the dispatching authorities in your home country before the deadline.
