Shen Baofan is a traditional Chinese medicine master, Chief Expert, Professor and Chief Physician of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Chinese Medicine Hospital, and among the first and second designated groups of Famous National Chinese Medicine Experts. Formerly, Shen was Vice President of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Chinese Medicine Hospital, Vice Chairman and Honorary Chairman of the Society of General Internal Medicine of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Association of Chinese Medicine, Deputy Editor of "Xinjiang Chinese Medicine" magazine, and an expert of the Xinjiang Medical University Teaching Steering Committee.
