Gu Gang, director of the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration, met with the delegation led by Liu Jingzhen, chairman of Sinopharm in Haikou, Hainan province on July 8.

Gu briefed the delegation on the current development situation of Lecheng during a seminar, aiming to deepen cooperation between two sides. He also praised Sinopharm for its significant contributions to Lecheng's development.

He expressed hope that both sides will work to boost cooperation, noting the over 400 kinds of medical products that have not yet entered the Chinese market were displayed at the "Ever Lasting" International Innovation Medicine Exhibition. 

Liu said that Sinopharm is China's only central State-owned company focusing on health, and it has cooperated with Lecheng on projects such as the agency of imported licensed medicines and facilities, and the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Central Pharmacy.

Liu expressed his hope that the both sides can carry out more cooperation to provide high-quality services for patients all over the country.

Sinopharm is now a comprehensive group in the medical and health industry which leads Asia in terms of scale and competitiveness. It has developed a complete industrial chain for big health, integrating sectors such as scientific research and development, industrial manufacturing, logistics distribution, international management and financial investment.
