Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hainan Medical University at Boao Lecheng Advanced Medical Technology Transfer Center on June 29.

The two sides will carry out cooperation in areas spanning subject development, medical service quality and security improvement, the joint cultivation of medical talents and the research and application of real-world big data.

Gu Gang, director of Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration, said that Hainan Medical University and its affiliated hospitals have offered a lot of support in the rapid development of Lecheng.

Gu expressed his hope that Lecheng can further optimize its first aid and emergency systems and improve its medical service capacity by using the high-quality resources of the university and its affiliated hospitals, and thus make more contributions to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

Yang Jun, president of Hainan Medical University, said that the university and its affiliated hospitals will send high-quality medical teams to Lecheng to help local medical institutions in the construction of their distinctive departments.

The university will also give full play to Lecheng's preferential policies in terms of the licensed operation of medicines and instruments to build an integrated platform combining industry, the university, research and application.
