A delegation led by Long Guoqiang, deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), visited Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone on June 24 to carry out an on-site inspection on the zone's achievements since the launch of the Master Plan for the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port was released in June 2020.

The delegation toured the "Ever Lasting" International Innovation Medicine Exhibition to learn more about Lecheng's progress in areas such as industrial planning, institutional guarantee, reform and development, local resources and institutional innovations.

At the Boao Public Pharmaceutical Bonded Warehouse, the delegation got an up-close look at issues such as the approval procedures for licensed exported medicines and instruments and the traceability platform for licensed medicines and instruments.

After the visit, Long spoke highly of Lecheng's efforts and achievements in the past year and noted that the delegation will look into the suggestions put forward by the zone and take an active part in finding solutions to promote the zone's development.
