China's first implant of a Johnson & Johnson Mentor Xtra breast prosthesis was carried out at Boao Super Hospital on Aug 1, 2020.

The operation was performed by Professor Jiang Hua, director of the Plastic Surgery Department of Dongfang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Tongji University, in Hainan Boao Yiling Life Care Center.

The operation was performed on a young patient seeking a breast prosthesis. It has been regarded as a milestone in the clinical practice of breast plastic surgery in China, and at the same time, it has injected new impetus into offering high-quality clinical solutions that meet the demands of Chinese "beauty seekers" and further promoting the standardized development of China's medical beauty industry.
