Dongfang Natural Treasures Park was awarded with the national 3A tourist attraction honor on Dec 21, becoming the first national 3A tourist attraction in Dongfang city, Hainan province.

Dongfang Natural Treasures Park is about 14 kilometers away from Dongfang's urban center, 13.5 km away from the Dongfang High-speed Railway Station, and 5 km away from the Dongfang G98 highway junction, which makes transportation in the area convenient.
As a botanical garden with the richest and precious endangered species among China's tropical rainforests, the Dongfang Natural Treasures Park has a total of more than 1,200 living species including 325 species of rare and endangered plants. The park features viewing rare plants, various foods, and an educational experience. It is expected to expand and establish a seedling base, a tourism park of endangered trees and a tree species research base.
It is worth noticing that its 800-square-meter wood museum exhibits up to 20,000 pieces wood handicrafts mostly made from Dongfang Huanghuali Wood, which are designed based on nature and cultural beliefs, showing lifelike and ingenious shapes.
