Hainan, Ukraine exchange views on TCM health & wellness

The Seminar of Ukraine-Boao TCM Health & Wellness Tour was held at the Boao Yiling Life Conservation Center in Qionghai, Hainan, on Sept 18.

After a tourism promotion video of Hainan, Zhou Guoming, deputy director of the Health and Family Planning Commission of Hainan Province, introduced Hainan's natural advantages in carrying out traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) services, which include a favorable environment, a thorough service system, a high quality talent team, abundant herbal medicinal resources, rich experience and open policies.

It was announced at a media conference that Yiling Group had reached a strategic partnership with Hainan Airlines for the launch of an exclusive Hainan-Kyiv air route to serve the Ukraine TCM healthcare travel groups. The maiden flight was scheduled for Sept 15, which will further expand cooperation between Hainan and Ukraine.

Zeng Bin, deputy director general of the Qionghai investment promotion bureau, recommended Qionghai's industries of medical health, all-for-one tourism, conferences and exhibitions, tropical characteristic agriculture, marine economy and general aviation.

Representatives of Ukrainian departments of commerce, culture and tourism introduced the status quo of their country. An official from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine said that the two areas can give full play of each other's superiorities to cooperate in medical treatment, tourism, culture, conferences and exhibitions, and agriculture. They have strong economic complementarities and together could usher in bright prospects with large development potential.
