Members of the national figure skating team ushered in International Children's Day, which falls on June 1, with 150 primary students in Sanya on May 29.

Famous pair skaters performed for guests and taught 30 students skating techniques during the activity organized by the Chinese Figure Skating Association.

According to Zhao Hongbo, head coach of the Chinese figure skating team, the skaters were assembled for training in Sanya to enhance their competitiveness and reserve talents for the Beijing Olympic Winter Games in 2022. The activity was aimed at showing off the charm of figure skating to the people of Sanya and stimulating their interest in winter sports.

In late April, the mass election of pair skating enthusiasts was first opened to the public, and those who made it to the next round were in intensive training in Sanya.
