Xiuwen kiwi fruit expected to generate 3b yuan in output

It's that time of year again! Kiwi fruit in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, are ripe and ready for harvest.

Baskets of vibrant, plump kiwi fruits are being transported to various regions across the country through online and offline sales channels.

The Xiuwen kiwi fruit is a nationally recognized geographical indication trademark, a registered agricultural geographical indication protection product, and a national geographical indication

The total cultivation area of kiwi fruit in the county is 167,000 mu (11,133.33 hectares), with a fruit-bearing area of 137,000 mu.

In recent years, under the guidance of the county's agricultural department, local farmers have explored new technologies and models for kiwi fruit cultivation, improving the quality and efficiency of kiwi fruit production and leading to an annual production increase.

This year, the total output is expected to reach 100,000 metric tons, with a comprehensive output value of 3 billion yuan ($410.71 million).
