Xiuwen cements place on list of top 100 counties in tourism tally

Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranked 64th on the list of the top 100 counties in China known for their comprehensive tourism strength in 2023. It has been on the list for five straight years.

The list was released by China Culture Daily in a special report titled "Research Findings on County Tourism in China in 2023".

The report relies on 32 indicators in six fields, and those counties with the top scores made the cut.

The six fields comprise the level of tourism economic development, government promotional efforts, the comprehensive driving force of the tourism industry, tourism development and environmental protection, tourism facilities and services, and tourism quality supervision and market regulation.

Xiuwen boasts rich tourism resources, in a diverse range of formats, and has profound cultural heritage, an excellent ecological environment, and is an advantageous location in terms of transportation.

In recent years, it has continuously enriched its tourism products. The top picks for visitors include experiences such as drifting, hot springs and wellness centers, canyon sightseeing, exotic cultural experiences, as well as categories like golfing, zoos, and cultural parks.
