Xiuwen holds first horticultural expo

Xiuwen county in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held its first horticultural expo on May 1.

The exhibition showcased more than 150 pots of fine bonsai such as ginkgos and Chinese roses, and more than 600 pots of fine orchids.

At the expo, six gold awards, six silver awards, and nine bronze awards for bonsai pots were selected, as well as three gold awards, six silver awards, and nine bronze awards for potted orchids.

On the day, Ye Lisha, an expert member of the Flower Art Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Forestry Bureau, was invited to perform flower arrangement. She is also the flower art referee of the National Skills Competition and the chief flower art judge of the Guizhou Skills Competition.
