Xiuwen Economic Development Zone in Xiuwen county of Southwest China's Guizhou province has been working to promote the speedy resumption of major industrial projects after the Spring Festival holiday to ensure industrial development in the development zone sees a good start in the first quarter, local media reported.

As part of efforts to step up industrial development in 2023, Xiuwen will cultivate the advanced equipment manufacturing industry, focusing on building assembly, agricultural machinery equipment and tourism facilities, and promote the high-quality development of the specialty food industry, including the drinks, condiments and leisure food.
It is striving to ensure that industrial investment will exceed 6.5 billion yuan ($952 million) by the end of the year, the total industrial output value will reach 32 billion yuan, and the industrial added value will increase by 9 percent.
To date, there are 23 projects under construction in Xiuwen Industrial Park, with a total investment of 10.44 billion yuan. Around 87 percent of the projects have resumed construction or production.
Song Ronggang, director of the general office of Xiuwen Economic Development Zone, said that this year, the development zone will focus on key projects such as the Guizhou Green Industrial Park of Assembly Building, Shenzhen International, and the Specialty Food Industrial Park, carefully sort out and solve problems and difficulties in advancing the projects, ensure that the projects are completed and put into operation as planned.
