In 2023, Xiuwen Economic Development Zone in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will seek to stabilize investment, boost domestic demand, and promote employment in an effort to bring about new-type industrialization and high-quality development.

Focusing on becoming a national-level development zone, the Xiuwen zone will promote the construction of infrastructure related to water, electricity, roads, gas, telecommunications, central heating, safety, and environmental protection, and increase efforts to create a fair, orderly, safe and harmonious development environment for enterprises.

The Xiuwen zone currently is home to 102 industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with annual output value of 20 million yuan ($2.88 million) or more – and 90 online service enterprises, which it will support in terms of technological transformation, expansion and upgrading.

The total industrial output value above a designated size in the Xiuwen zone is projected to reach 22 billion yuan in 2023, and it is expected to become home to 15 more enterprises above a designated size.

Throughout the year, the zone will strive to introduce five advanced equipment manufacturing projects and 10 ecological characteristic food projects, with an estimated investment of 5 billion yuan each.

In addition, construction will be accelerated on major projects. For example, construction of a multimodal logistics port will be promoted to ensure an annual throughput of more than 5 million metric tons and further reduce logistics costs for enterprises.

Meanwhile, the Xiuwen zone will make efforts to optimize the business environment and improve financing coordination services for entrepreneurs and enterprises.
