Culture, tourism sectors see rapid development in Xiuwen

Over the past 10 years, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has achieved rapid development in culture and tourism.

Xiuwen has continued to build China Yangming Cultural Park, established a Yangming Study Institute, and promoted Yangming culture among the public.

The previous Yangming Cultural Festivals achieved remarkable results. Experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from home and abroad have participated in the grand event and discussed Yangming culture.

Since opening in 2016, the China Yangming Cultural Park has received more than 750,000 tourists. In 2018, the park started to carry out research and training programs for students. So far, it has undertaken more than 40,000 research activities.

Xiuwen rich in natural resources and home to a pleasant natural environment, fascinating culture, and beautiful mountains and rivers. It has promoted the strong integration of culture and tourism.

To date, the number of A-level tourist attractions in the county has increased from one to five, and many provincial key rural tourism villages and towns have sprung up from nothing.

A number of key cultural and tourism projects have been completed and put into operation, with reception capacity, service level, and satisfaction among tourists improved.

During the 10-year period, Xiuwen has also strongly supported traditional festivals and traditional sports of ethnic groups.
