Xiuwen's Zhexi village invites for summer travel

Zhexi village in Gubao town, Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been working to develop into a summer resort.

The village aims to build a rural tourism demonstration area for tourism, recreation, catering, accommodation, and fruit picking.

With an increase in people looking to escape the summer heat, local villagers have returned to their hometowns to start businesses, further expanding the local tourism industry.

This has driven the development of surrounding farmhouses, led to the employment of more than 30 people, and increased farmers' collective income by more than 600,000 yuan ($88,874.02).

"I have visited Zhexi village every year for the past five years. Every year, I come here with three or five friends to enjoy the idyllic scenery. The village has a good environment and unique location. It is very comfortable to wake up here every morning and bathe among the birds and flowers," said a tourist from Chongqing.

Moving forward, the village will improve its tourism services, develop more new tourism products, and promote the integration of agriculture, industry, sports and tourism.
