Xiuwen launches summer heat-avoiding season

The "Cool Guiyang, Psychology Xiuwen" summer heat-avoiding season was launched in Damu village, Liutun town, Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 4.

Damu village has successively won the titles of Chinese ethnic group characteristic village, China's beautiful leisure village in 2021, and Guizhou provincial key village in rural tourism.

Bouyei people account for 40 percent of the village's population, and the tourism facilities in the village are relatively mature, with two boutique homestays, four boutique wooden houses and 13 rural tourist inns.

At the launch ceremony, the Xiuwen county bureau of culture and tourism recommended two classic tourism routes to tourists: Wanyiwo Ruins Park – China Yangming Cultural Park - Damu village in Liutun town (one-day tour); and Damu village in Liutun town - Wanyiwo Ruins Park – China Yangming Cultural Park - Longgang Academy - Lihua Lake in Gubao town - Suoqiao village in Gubao town (two-day tour).

In recent years, Xiuwen has focused on rural tourism to promote green development, increase farmers' incomes, improve the rural environment, and promote rural prosperity, and has been exploring rural red resources and ethnic cultural resources.

Relying on its beautiful mountains and rivers and pleasant climate, Xiuwen has achieved rapid development in tourism industrialization by upgrading the tourism industry, cultivating market entities, improving service quality and other actions.
