Xiuwen high school classified as provincial characteristic demonstration

Xiuwen County No 1 High School in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently passed the evaluation of the provincial characteristic demonstration of ordinary high school establishment, according to the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education.

Xiuwen County No 1 High School is a boarding public high school which was developed by Guizhou Yangming Education Group. Many of the school's students go on to attend Tsinghua University.

Since February 2019, Xiuwen has supported the school in its application to become a provincial characteristics demonstration ordinary high school, providing solid guarantees in terms of supplies, financing and policies.

A total of 26.6 million yuan ($3.96 million) in funds have been invested in the school's construction. The average public funds for the high school students reached about 1.13 million yuan.

Xiuwen county's bureau of education and the Xiuwen County No 1 High School will give full play to the school's role as a characteristic demonstration school, and lead the high-quality development of high school education in the county.
