Over 1,700 Xiuwen students sit college entrance exam

This year, a record 11.93 million students across the country are taking the gaokao, also known as China's national college entrance exam, on June 7 and 8, including more than 1,700 students from Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

To ensure the exam goes smoothly and help examinees and their parents, several volunteer teams from the county are serving at test sites.

Volunteers set up service desks outside the test sites and prepared mineral water, good-luck cards and other items for examinees.
