Digital economy helps Xiuwen thrive

Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has promoted the deep integration of agriculture, manufacturing, retailing and big data in an effort to realize the high-quality and intelligent development of various industries.

In the county, the agricultural cloud platform covers more than 2.8 million kiwi fruits over an area of 50,000 mu (3,333.33 hectares) in 313 orchards, allowing for tracking across the whole kiwi fruit industrial chain and advancing the development of the kiwi fruit industry.

In 2021, Xiuwen cooperated with JD and jointly held the "Xiuwen Kiwi Fruit E-commerce Feast" to promote Xiuwen's kiwi fruit, significantly increasing the income of farmers.

Guizhou Tyre Co, based in Xiuwen, is currently the largest tire manufacturer in western China. Since 2019, the company has comprehensively promoted automation and intelligent transformation in stages, improving production efficiency and product manufacturing quality while reducing costs.

The county has also completed the construction of the government affairs extranet upgrade and reconstruction project, with more than 80 departments connected to the county e-government extranet.

A total of 322 5G base stations have been built in the county, realizing full 5G coverage in urban areas, industrial parks and main streets of towns and villages in Xiuwen.

In 2022, Xiuwen will work to integrate the digital and real economies, contributing to the county's high-quality development.
