The rural vitalization workstation of Guizhou University in Damu village and the Guizhou University labor education practice base were unveiled and established on May 9 in Damu village, Liutun town in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Damu village focuses on the development of industries such as kiwi fruit, plums, chives, edible fungi under the forest, and chicken under the forest.
The village will make full use of the workstation's strength in theory and talent to create a model village, showcase the village's beautiful natural resources and profound culture, and help villagers increase their quality of life.
"Xiuwen county is one of the counties that carried out industry-university-research cooperation with the College of Agriculture at Guizhou University, and Damu village is one of the demonstration bases of scientific and technological services for rural vitalization in Guizhou," said Yang Gang, Party secretary of the College of Agriculture at Guizhou University.
The college will further strengthen cooperation in scientific research projects, the practical application of scientific and technological achievements, and the cultivation of local talent with Damu village, Yang added.
