The kiwi fruit flowers in Jiuchang sub-district of Xiuwen county – administered by Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – have recently come into full blossom, attracting rafts of admiring photographers, painters and tourists.
In addition, fruit farmers have taken advantage of the short flowering opportunity to conduct pollination.

"In the past, we only knew that Xiuwen's kiwi fruit was delicious, but we didn't know that kiwi fruit flowers were so beautiful," said tourists who came to admire the sight, taking hundreds of photos at the Hanyue Shanzhuang Kiwi Fruit Base in Xiuwen.
Due to the dioecious characteristics of the kiwi fruit – having male and female organs in separate individual plants – it must rely on good pollination from the outside to be fully fruited.
Plants with good pollination have a good fruit shape, high yield, good quality, a large size and taste great.

When pollinating, the fruit farmers pick the male flowers in advance and put them in the basket, hold a male flower and stick it onto the female flower one by one – pointing the male pollen on the stigma of the female flower to complete the artificial pollination.
Currently, kiwi fruit has become a pillar industry in the rural economy of Jiuchang sub-district.
Many kiwi fruit farms in the sub-district are upgrading farmhouses, as well as developing sightseeing agriculture, picking tours, leisure tours and other activities based on the excellent natural environment and scenery.
