The 7 Bugou brand of kiwi fruit was founded by Xiuwen County Agricultural Investment and Development Co based in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Through the agricultural big data platform and signing of contracts with a number of orchards, the brand has adopted a so-called "farmer + base + company" model to provide farmers with customized services.

The brand has spent more than 30 million yuan ($4.49 million) developing two professional fruit and vegetable sorting lines, promoting the sorting and grading of kiwi fruit, and developing kiwi fruit juice, wine and dried fruit.
In addition, the brand spent tens of millions of yuan developing a big data traceability platform to monitor real-time environmental data in orchards.
Through the platform, the orchards can be monitored at any time, aiding in various tasks such as fertilization and insect removal and realizing the tracking and coverage of the whole process of kiwi fruit production, processing and sales.

"Every year, most of our fresh kiwi fruit is sold to Beijing, Xinjiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Hubei and other places," said Shi Pengqi, a person in charge of the 7 Bugou brand.
He added that the company buys about 12 million kilograms of kiwi fruit every year, 60 percent of which is sold as fresh fruit.
The company also cooperates with scientific research institutes to develop new products and has developed more than 200 new kiwi fruit varieties.
Moving forward, the company will make full use of big data to enhance the popularity and competitiveness of Xiuwen kiwi fruit, increase the income of fruit farmers, and boost rural vitalization.
