Living standards improved in Xiuwen county

Since last year, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been making efforts to improve living standards, with new construction, reconstruction and expansion projects progressing steadily.

There are currently 348 convenience stores, five farmer's markets, 18 fresh food supermarkets, and 842 restaurants in the county, meeting most of the needs of the county's residents.

Xiuwen has also been building more public parking lots to alleviate parking difficulties.

The county is currently in the process of building or expanding five parking lots, of which two are nearly complete and the remaining three are expected to be completed and put into use in 2022. After completion, 1,222 parking spaces will be added.

In 2021, Xiuwen being maintenance or renovation projects on nine old residential buildings with a total construction area of 26,977.7 square meters and upgraded and renovated 15 back streets and alleys.

Within three years, Xiuwen hopes to have a sufficient number of hospitals, schools, fresh supermarkets, parking lots, and activity venues within a radius of 500 to 1,000 meters in each 15-minute living circle.
