Xiuwen promotes agricultural machinery services

In early winter, kiwi fruit trees in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will enter their dormancy period after a summer harvest.

Managing kiwi fruit to prevent and control pests and ensure the harvest in the coming year is of utmost importance.

"A plant protection aircraft can operate over an area of more than 200 mu (13.33 hectares) a day, which is equivalent to the workload of 30 people, which saves much time and effort," Zhang said.

In recent years, Xiuwen has focused on innovating and optimizing the supply of socialized agricultural production services and has researched, developed and applied new advanced and practical agricultural machinery technologies and machinery.

In order to promote agricultural machinery to the public, Xiuwen has established an agricultural socialization service alliance.

Through favorable agricultural policies and subsidies, the county has been able to purchase a number of unmanned plant protection machines for agricultural activities, allowing for the unified control of crop diseases and insect pests.
