Xiuwen country experiences 10.5% GDP growth in H1

In the first half of the year, Xiuwen county – administered by Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – reported a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent in gross domestic product to 8.9 billion yuan ($1.37 billion).

The added values of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries came in at 1.36 billion yuan, 4.26 billion yuan and 3.28 billion yuan, with respective year-on-year increases of 7.3 percent, 11.9 percent and 10 percent.

The added value of the three sectors accounted for 15.25 percent, 47.85 percent and 36.9 percent, respectively, of the county's total GDP.

In the second half of the year, Xiuwen plans to continue to focus on investment and move ahead with its projects, in a bid to expand its economic development.
