Xiuwen aims to become a new industrialized county

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Xiuwen county in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will focus on the real economy and rely on characteristic industrial parks to accelerate the development of manufacturing, new materials and logistics industries. The aim is to become a vibrant and industrialized county.

Xiuwen's industrial added value accounted for about 40 percent of its GDP during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), and the average annual growth of GDP was about 4 percentage points.

The county hopes that the output value of the equipment manufacturing industry – led by new energy vehicles and agricultural machinery – will exceed 20 billion yuan ($3.11 billion) by 2025.

By the same year, the output value of pharmaceuticals and food should exceed 3 billion yuan and the total industrial output value should reach more than 50 billion yuan.

Every year, at least one industrial project with an investment of 5 billion yuan, five projects with an investment of more than 1 billion yuan, and 20-plus projects with an investment of more than 50 million yuan will be introduced.

Xiuwen will continue to promote the integrated development of the service industry and industry to achieve a major breakthrough in new industrialization. It will also create a convenient, flexible, transparent, fair and efficient investment and business environment and continue to provide service guarantees for enterprises.
