Guiyang's Xiuwen county in Southwest China's Guizhou province has issued its first e-loans, totaling 1.55 million yuan ($232,500), to six veterans in order to fund their business start-ups, according to local media reports on April 8.
The Guizhou Department of Veterans Affairs collaborated with the Guizhou branch of the Agricultural Bank of China for the mechanism, putting out an announcement that said that veterans willing to start a business or seek employment should be encouraged to apply for the e-loans.
The announcement also urged communication and coordination between the Xiuwen bureau of veterans affairs and the Xiuwen branch of the Agricultural Bank of China, in order to resolve any financing problem faced by veterans.
The six veterans expressed their sincere gratitude for the care shown by the Party and the central government, saying the e-loans will inspire them to contribute more to rural revitalization.
