Xiuwen county's GDP increases 7.1% to 18.86b yuan in 2020

The gross domestic product (GDP) of Xiuwen county in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranked third in the city and increased 7.1 percent annually to 18.86 billion yuan ($2.91 billion) in 2020.

The growth rate was 10.2 percentage points higher than the growth rate during the first quarter of the year and 4.8, 2.6 and 2.1 percentage points higher than that of the country, the province and the city, respectively.

The added value of the primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry increased by 6.5 percent, 6.7 percent and 8 percent, respectively, reaching 2.99 billion yuan, 8.72 billion yuan and 7.14 billion yuan.

Also, the investment and consumption rate increased significantly. Fixed-asset investment rose 17.9 percent year on year, 15.2 percentage points higher than that of the city. The growth ranked first in the city.

The consumer market also recovered, with the total retail sales of consumer goods increasing 8.3 percent to 5.69 billion yuan – the city's third-highest growth rate.

In addition, the public budget revenue increased 4.5 percent year-on-year to 815 million yuan, and the tax revenue rose 7.8 percent year on year to 1.61 billion yuan. The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents reached 39,250 yuan and 17,329 yuan, up 5.3 percent and 8.4 percent year on year, respectively.

The growth rate of added value for industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with an annual output value of 20 million yuan or more – improved from negative 6.8 percent in the first quarter to 7.4 percent.
