After more than two decades of experimentation, demonstrations and promotions, the base has finally developed into a Xiuwen kiwifruit industrial base, with Xiuwen Guichang Kiwifruit as the main brand.
The current area under cultivation covers 9,800 mu (653 hectares) and this year's harvest yielded 6 million kilograms of kiwifruit, bringing in total income of 31.5 million yuan ($4.74 million).
Moving forwards, Xiuwen county will continue to expand its production and marketing channels for kiwifruit, to promote the healthy and sustainable development of Xiuwen's kiwifruit industry.
