Xiuwen county commences construction of major projects

Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of nine major projects with a total investment of 2.19 billion yuan ($322.37 million) on May 29.

The projects include one primary industry project with an investment of 66 million yuan, six projects in the secondary industry with a total investment of 493 million yuan and two projects in the tertiary industry, with a total investment of 1.63 billion yuan.

The standardized plant in Xiuwen Kiwi Industrial Park is one of the major projects, with a total investment of 227.09 million yuan.

It will cover 77,206 square meters and the building area will include a standardized workshop of 65,224 sq m and a support building area of 1,000 sq m.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. After completion, it will drive the processing, warehousing and logistics trading markets of agricultural products in the county and meet the support needs of other industries in the Xiuwen Economic Development Zone.

The county has 38 projects on the drawing boards that plan to start construction in May, involving total investment of 2.77 billion yuan.

To date, 34 projects with a total investment of 1.3 billion yuan have kicked off.
