Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has managed to maintain the supply of people's food and daily necessities since the outbreak of COVID-19.

Local authorities improved their communications with various government departments, to make sure the supply channels have been kept open. They also cooperated with local suppliers, to provide enough daily goods for residents.

Individual businesses in the Guiyang Agricultural Products Logistics Park have all been in operation as usual. All the usual varieties of meat, vegetables and fruit were available there. Lu Yong, who was in charge of the park, said that the park now had about 3,500 metric tons of goods in stock and is purchasing as much as 500 tons of cabbage, Chinese cabbage and white radish every day.

"Xiuwen now has enough supplies of pork, after we ensured that every day about 200-300 pigs will be slaughtered in the county," said He Zhijun, chairman of Guizhou Yangxin Food Co Ltd, a major meat supplier.
